Story:

The Foreign Office has apologised to the Pope after an official document written by a junior civil servant said the pontiff's visit to Britain could be marked by asking him to open an abortion clinic and by the launch of Benedict-branded condoms. The ideas in the document were the result of a Whitehall brainstorming session, but were branded as "vile" by the Scottish Secretary, Jim Murphy.
