The deaths of three British soldiers in Afghanistan in just twenty four hours have been announced by the Ministry of Defence. Two were members of the Royal Scots Borderers. They were killed on 7th February 2010 by an explosion in Helmand Province. A a third man, a bomb disposal officer from 36 Engineer Regiment, died today the 8th February 2010. All their families have been told. Their deaths bring to two hundred and fifty six the number of British lives lost in Afghanistan since the conflict began.
