Add to BasketIt's been an extraordinary day of parades and processions, music and dancing.
It ended in spectacular style as a million people filled the Mall to cheer their Queen as she appeared on the palace balcony. The day began with the Queen travelling through the heart of London in a glittering gold coach, from Buckingham Palace to St Paul's Cathedral. The procession was followed by a colourful pageant with carnival dancers and hundreds of children accompanying the Queen and Prince Philip back to the Palace.

- I am more than concious at the moment of the importance of football - although this weekend comes about half way through my jubilee year as far as we are concerned it bears no relation to a rest at half time
