Fox Movietone

The Fox Movietone Newsreel was distributed to more cinemas than all the other newsreels put together in its heyday and was famous for its incredible ‘scoops’.  Thousands of hours of footage cover leading stories in the early part of the 20th century and major news and entertainment stories from the 1930s to the 1960s. Famous moments include Marilyn Monroe singing Happy Birthday to President Kennedy.
