How can I download a clip?
If you wish to download a free preview clip, you can do so by clicking the "Download Preview" button related to the clip on the website or in your ClipBin. Viewing clips online is free of charge, saving you technical charges for screeners.
If you wish to licence and download your order, go to your ClipBin or Shopping Basket and follow the on-screen instructions.
Which format is suitable for my download?
We offer a range of download delivery formats so you can choose one that best suits your project.
QuickTime H264, 720 x 576, 10Mbps
Suitable for general post-applications in an SD environment. H264
is compatible with most modern non-linear edit systems, including
Avid and Final Cut Pro. This format is good due to its excellent
quality and sound scrubbing.
MPEG2, 8 Mbps, 6 Mbps, 2 Mbps
Not recommended for Mac users. MPEG2 is the ideal format for DVD
authoring and presentation use. It is compatible with a wide range
of commercial edit packages and offers a good balance of quality
and size. This format is also ideal for transcoding to other file
formats. We offer three data rate options, allowing you to choose
the right file size and resolution for you.
Windows Media, 640 x 480, 750 Kbps
Due to its small size and picture quality. Great for Microsoft
users.
QuickTime, 640 x 480, 750 Kbps
Ideal for corporate use. Can be used by both PC and Mac users,
this format also allows audio scrubbing.
How much does it cost to download a clip?
As of 1st July 2010 our download fee is £5 per clip
