U.S.A.: SON OF SAM KILLER SUSPECT MAKES COURT APPEARANCE AMID TIGHT POLICE SECURITY.

The suspect in the son of Sam killings, 24 year old David Berkowitz, pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges when he appeared in court in Brooklyn on Tuesday (16 August). The hearing lasted less than 30 minutes. Berkowitz's lawyers said he would plead insanity if the case came to trial. Berkowitz was brought to court amid stringent security measures as NBC's Robert hager reports.
