On June 10th 2011 the Duke of Edinburgh will celebrate his 90th birthday.

Prince Philip was born in 1921 at Villa Mon Repos on the Greek island of Corfu to Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg. In 1947 he married the then Princess Elizabeth, now Queen Elizabeth II.  Prince Philip is now the longest serving consort in British history.
