THE RAILWAY CHILDREN
The classic family story, based on the original 1906 novel by E Nesbit and adapted by Simon Nye, re-made 30 years after the first release of the Lionel Jefferies' film which starred Jenny Agutter and Dinah Sheridan. Set at the beginning of the twentieth century, three Edwardian children and their mother move to a country house after their father is mysteriously taken away by the police. Their mother refuses to tell the children the eaxct nature of their circumstances. Fascinated by the nearby railway, the children wave to the passengers faithfully every day and befriend one old gentleman in particular. Can he help solve the mystery of their missing father? Starring JENNY AGUTTER (as the mother), RICHARD ATTENBOROUGH and MICHAEL KITCHEN.
