ANIMALS DO THE FUNNIEST THINGS 2
Britain's top male entertainer MICHAEL BARRYMORE goes animal-quackers in Animals Do The Funniest Things 2, an hilarious one-hour special which showcases the amazing antics of our furry friends. The story that will touch the hearts of animal lovers everywhere is that of Footsie, the disabled dog. Born without back feet, life looked pretty grim for this pup. Touched by his courage and cheerfulness, staff at the animal shelter where Footsie was taken, wanted to do something to help his mobility. They contacted Tom Everitt, the owner of a prosthetics company. After many consultations and painstaking dedication to work, the pup was fitted with artificial back feet. Now with a new owner and new home, Footsie has wasted no time at all in finding his feet! Equally touching is the story of Elliot the swan. He fell in love with another swan on his lake, but this was no ordinary love story. Elliot's beau was actually a boat - a fibreglass swan. Eliot followed the boat with such dedication but, when the boat became redundant and was removed from the lake, Elliot was distressed and fell into a bleak depression. The only cure for this lovesick bird was to return the boat to the lake. We also meet:- LALA the Antarctic penguin, now living in Japan, who regularly takes himself off to the local fish market to do the family shopping, complete with penguin-shaped backpack. The goldfish who rings for his supper BRUTUS the sky diving Dachshund Dolphins NICKY and DREAMER who are helping children with special needs at a research centre in Key Largo, Florida PATCHES, the horse who hitches a ride in his owner's car Hot on the heels of last year's ratings winner, Michael also ventures into uncharted territory with a visit to a zoo. And, as you'd expect with the unpredictable presenter, there are some very bizarre goings on.
