OLIVER TWIST
OLIVER TWIST
Live action story of a young boy's adventures in the dark shadowy underworld of Victorian London. Adapted by Academy Award winner James Goldman (A Lion in Winter) this classic and much-loved Charles Dickens tale is brought to life by an all-star cast.

The story begins in Mr Bumble's wretched workhouse when Oliver Twist, an innocent and near-starving young orphan plucks up the courage to ask for more food and is thrown into a dark cellar for his impudence.

He flees to the streets of London and is befriended by the Artful Dodger who introduces him to a gang of street urchins and their unsavoury leader Fagin. Suddenly Oliver finds himself caught up in a world of pickpocketing and criminal activity, until one night a robbery goes wrong and Oliver is caught in the act.

Oliver's life is turned around by the kindness of his victims, as the benevolent Mr Brown and his niece take pity on him and welcome him into their home. However, Oliver is far from safe as the villains he thought he had left behind discover the secret of his birth and decide that he must be silenced forever.
