Story:

London Tonight can exclusively reveal that Transport for London (TfL) have concrete plans that could eventually spell the end of the oyster card. They will be introducing technology which means passengers will use their credit or debit card to swipe in and out of tube stations and on and off buses. TfL says making the change is costing 'tens of millions' of pounds but, in the end, it will actually save them and commuters money. The plans could be in place in time for the Olympics.
