Thousands of devotees from Kurumar community in Pallinchari palli village in Krishnagiri district of Indias southern state of Tamil Nadu smashed coconuts on their heads on Sunday (April 24) as a way of worshiping the god.
Devotees perform this unique ritual every year on the third day of the annual temple festival of the popular Veerabhadra Swamy temple in Krishnagiri district.
